- The party began the session by taking a long rest in the temple in the Crystalline Caves.
- They spoke with Queen Seika and learned that this kobold tribe had been taken from the ThornMoss Forest region, about 200 miles north of the caves, by drow about a year ago.
- Seika nearly begged the party to help deal with Lukka, the “dragon” who kept them prisoner.
- She explained that if they just returned Lukka’s egg, Lukka would release the kobolds. If that didn’t work, well, Kriick had told her that the party had defeated dragons and hydras so they could easily defeat Lukka.
- The party snuck back to the kobold nest area and met more kobolds—including Kurr and Rock, Queen Seika’s “lieutenants.”
- One of the other nesting female kobolds recognized Sarrack, and there was a bonding moment between Sarrack and her mother.
- The kobolds cheered the party over the little one’s return and the possibility that the party would help free them from Lukka.
- The party discussed options, and Mr. Marston and Kriick each had a tearful goodbye with Sarrack.
- The party decided to confront Lukka and try to negotiate.
- They quietly made their way back to the large crystal room and observed kobolds driving an elephant and dinosaur towards a massive pile of coins.

- The party jumped into action to help drive the dino near the coins.
- After some tail swipes, the two creatures were pushed towards the coins, and a huge, perhaps 100-foot rainbow serpent (andrenjinyi) emerged from the pile and swallowed both creatures.
- The party engaged in futile negotiations with Lukka, who demanded to know why Kriick was not digging and announced that he was now a slave.
- After more banter, Avari tried to “suggest” that Lukka reach a bargain.
- The negotiations continued, and there was a discussion regarding how Lukka believed the Grey Cloaks broke their bargain with her by failing to protect the Lock.
- She further stated that she had a deal with the drow, and she would not break it.
- Lukka also said that Barak Vasak’s emissaries brokered a new bargain over his promises to secure the Lock.
- At this point, Lukka regurgitated an odd creature that was a combination of the elephant and the dinosaur!

- More banter as the new creature slowly stood up.
- Lukka questioned Jon Marston about whether he cared for his child. After learning that he did, Lukka tried to persuade him to bring her egg back.
- Jon pushed the negotiations back to Avari but offered to be a hostage while the party went to get Lukka’s egg.
- Avari continued the negotiations, which quickly went downhill. When questioned about the odd creature that Lukka had vomited, she said, “I ate a fox and a druid once—I think you have met them.”
- The party again tried to work out a deal with Lukka, and she again said that she would not break her deal with the drow.
- At this point, a drow raiding party arrived, and Lukka said, “Ah, there are the drow now—go ahead and negotiate with them.”
- Avari launched a surprise round fireball, and the fight was on!
- One of the highlights of the fight involved Lukka grabbing Jon Marston and constricting him.
- Martson struggled and pounded on the snake and eventually freed himself from the constriction.
- One of the kobolds, Kurr chucked a javelin at Lukka and actually hit Martson!
- The drow swarmed Avari and Feng, but they held the line and whittled down the Drow.
- The DinoElphant charged after the kobolds and Kriick was gored and nearly stomped, but used all of his acrobatics and whatnot and avoided half of the gore damage, and also the heavy stomp that might have crushed him to death.
- Meanwhile, Lukka constricted, bit, and swallowed Argone, nearly killing him!
- River started healing, and Kriick leapt up and rushed Lukka while Rock and Kurr stabbed and shot at the large snake.
- Kriick, using “Moe” and “Joe,” his twin rapiers, does enough damage to force Lukka to make a CON save, which she failed even though she had a 25 CON. She vomited Argone out onto the floor.
- The fight continued, with the drow battling Feng and Avari while the dinoElphant continued to charge after the kobolds and the queen.
- The queen cast invisibility on Kriick.
- Argone hacked away with his great axe, but had a crit failure, and the axe became wedged under Lukka’s scales. Lukka, flaying wildly, rose up and ripped the great axe out of Argone’s hand!
- Again, Argon is constricted, bitten, and swallowed!
- Marston climbed up the snake’s neck and stabbed wildly, sinking a long sword deep into Lukka’s neck.
- Kriick, now invisible, again rushed toward Lukka and again did enough damage in one round with Moe and Joe to force Lukka to make a CON save, which she failed for the second time! [NOTE: She had a 25 CON!]
- The one remaining drow turned to run and Feng, as a giant hyena, gave chase.
- Avari ran to his Rope Trick (hooray for Rope Trick!).
- Lukka vomited Argone out again. He was nearly dead for the second time.
- He leapt up, yanked the great axe free from Lukka’s scales, and stumbled over to River, asking for healing.
- Marston was swinging wildly from the back of Lukka, holding on to the hilt of the long sword that was deep within her neck.
- Avari, seeing that things are not looking good with Argone nearly dead, Martson hurt very severely, and Lukka turning her attention towards River and Argone, decided to throw caution to the wind and blasts Lukka with a fireball. He also caught Marston in the blast, rendering him unconscious.
- Lukka, seriously hurt, maked a dash for it and swam down her escape tunnel, leaving with Marston’s long sword stuck in her neck (good thing that wasn’t Bride).
- River rushed to heal Jon.
- Feng finished off the last drow before he could enter his secret passage to escape.
- In one last ditch effort, Avari cast a fireball blindly down the water tunnel. There was a colossal explosion of water and scales, but after Feng turned into an octopus in the water tunnel, no dead snake was found.
- The party, exhausted, collapsed to the floor, many near-death but victorious for now.
- The party took a short rest as they split up the treasure (after Avari, showing his CN alignment, tried to take it all), including over 15,000 copper coins, 1,500 gold (plus PP and silver), a flying carpet, and a crystal ball.
- The kobolds were ecstatic that Kriick had delivered on the promise. Queen Seika kissed Kriick, announcing him the Thorn Moss Kobold Champion. Kriick acted like it was no big deal and quietly walked away, while Queen Seiki clasped her hands, cocked her head to one side with a dreamy smile on her face, and watched him prepare to depart the Crystalline Caves.
- The kobolds were rounded up and exited the cave into the Silverstand Forest. Queen Seika invited the party to visit them at the Thorn Moss Forest for a proper celebration.
- The party proceeded to the locked gate with the Golem on the other side.
- Session ended
