The session started with the party returning to the Darklings refuge.
They took a long rest, identified a number of unique potions (drawn by Emily (see art below) and set to deciphering the tablet they had recovered from the Lamias.

After some time, they were able to glean that the tablet was talking about air, but where was the location. They thought long and hard and asked Hakoot, who told them he didn’t know the exact location as it was built after his death; he was pretty certain that the word “Omen” meant a temple or church.
Finally, it hit them, the word “Hawaa” meant air, and they were looking for a temple called the “Omen of Hawaa.”
With this information and some general directions from the Darklings, they set off the find the Omen of Hawaa. After making some good survival checks, they were able to make their way through the undead still wandering the Necropolis, and they came to a temple carved with runes above the door that named it the Omen of Hawaa.

They cautiously entered the courtyard in front of the Omen of Hawaa and saw that it had lots of empty shop stalls and tents. Along either side of the marketplace were abandoned merchant and artisan shops.
The party cautiously entered the marketplace and saw some undead moving about as if on their way to a particular destination.

They also saw a number of skeletons and an ape-like creature with sharp teeth fillings its large mouth.
Its long, muscular arms stretch to the ground, ending in wickedly curved claws.
It pounded its chest from time to time and scanned the marketplace, clearly “on guard.”
Finally, there was a horrific-looking creature with a lupine face and skin pulled taught over its skeletal frame. The creature wore entrails and bones of previous victims over its dark red fur and had black spikes jutting from its spine.

The party moved into the marketplace, hiding behind tents and stalls as they moved their way forward. As they got close to the fountain, which was filled with black water, one of the skeletons barked at them to move on towards the gate, as there was going to be another attempt to take Per-Bastet later tonight.
At this time, the Mari Lwyd (rhyming undead horse) arrived and began to rhyme to Karwl, asking to be let into the tent.
Belladonna engaged with the Mari Lwyd, who claimed to be upset from all the rejection the party had given him over the past few days.
Belladonna passionately begged the Mari Lwyd to remember that she welcomed him into the Darklings lari. But the Mari Lwyd was too upset because no one else in the party had welcomed it.
More skeletons approached, and the Mari Lwyd rhymed to them that this group of undead (the party) had not been nice to him.

There was banter.
When pressed about whose authority this guard trope was under, the party was told, “The Servant told us to keep everyone out of the Omen of Hawaa.”
During the banter, two more creatures, including the demonic ape, approached the party.
Nix raised the rod of Tiberish and announced that he was there to raise Tiberish. Karwl drunkenly confirmed this news.
The Ape said he would escort Nix and only Nix into the Omen of Hawaa, and to prevent the party from following, he cast Fire Wall, blocking much of the marketplace. Nix tried to counterspell to show that he indeed had the power of Tiberish, but the counter-spell failed.

From around the corner, an Oathbreaking Wraith appeared and headed for Bob the Blind (Oathbreaking Wraith can sense paladins). He told Bob that he should move towards the gate for the riot and then said that Bob would not make it to the gate because the Oathbreaker was going to backstab him.
Zithgar charged, and all hell broke loose!
Nix fled towards the Omen of Hawaa and peaked inside, seeing a courtyard with a small pond. Skeletons and the Ape pursued him.
Zithgar and the Oathwraith went toe-to-toe.
Zephyr was affected by a curse from the Oathbreaker.
Aswan had to run around the firewall, and he tried to banish the Ape, but the Ape resisted.
Belladonna flew up in the air and cast ranged spells on the creatures.
Bob the Blind spat forth a blistering rhyme attack at the Mari Lwyd, who danced back and forth (waiting for its turn to have a rhyme battle). But Bob did not give it a chance as he fired a lightning bolt which hit the Mari Lwyd, two skeletons, and Karwl, charging up her quarterstaff with electricity.
The Mari Lwyd attacked Bob the Blind, and Karwl jumped on the creature’s back, trying to calm him.
Karwl used this charged staff to deal some good damage, and finally, Bob hit the Mari Lywd with a devasting hit, killing the rhyming creature and sending a shower of bones across the marketplace. Karwl was able to land on her feet.
Nix called for Dreadwing, which hurt the ape and two skeletons, and then walked up the side of the Omen of Hawaa in an attempt to get away from the Ape.
The Ape, who can climb, went up the side of the Omen of Hawaa after him.
The session ended mid-combat.
